Where should I send press releases?
E-mail all press releases to the editor
Jared Wade.
Where should I send story proposals?
Before sending a story proposal, read through the submission guidelines--including steps, rules and tips--and the editorial calendar for appropriate topics and deadlines. Then submit the proposal to the editor in chief
Morgan O'Rourke.
Will you contact me to confirm that you've received a press release?
We contact all parties if we plan on using the material or ideas in a press release. Because of the amount of press releases we receive, we cannot confirm receipt unless we will be using it.
Do your editors and reporters have specific beats?
No, all press releases should be directed to the editor
Jared Wade.
What types of press releases do you accept?
RM does not publish personnel announcements. Press releases most likely to be accepted include an interesting angle or are related to timely events or trends in the industry. As with article submissions, keep in mind that our audience comprises risk management professionals, not insurance companies or brokers and agents. We do not have a new products section. We do not include book reviews and calendar items.
Would an editor from RM be interesting in attending my conference?
Yes. RM is always looking to reach out and hear about what is going on in the world of risk management to better understand and report on the issues that matter to our readers. Attending conferences and events is one important way we do this.

Does RM pay its contributors?
No, RM does not pay its contributors.
How do I get a copy of the magazine?

What is the Editorial Advisory Council?
RM's EAC is a group of risk management professionals who use their expertise to guide the editors in developing the magazine's content. They are responsible for reviewing each issue and providing their thoughts on the magazine's direction. Anyone interested in joining the council can send a letter of interest, including background information and areas of expertise, to the editor-in-chief. As positions open up, these individuals will have the opportunity to join.
